The exhibition recounts Paresa’s experience as rising Covid-19 cases prevented her, among many others, from traveling to Hawai’i to be with her family. An advertisement on her social media feed screamed “It’s time to go to Hawai’i for real.” Paresa documented and expressed her frustration for the tourism industry and its systemic impact on the people of Hawai’i through diary entries and mono prints.
